There are many ways to add a person as a contact. You can visit the 'Add contacts' link in the 'People' section to either manually enter the email addresses of your contacts or import them from webmail services. You can also click on 'Add as contact' on the profile page of a member. Then select the default facet in which you want to categorize this person. You always have the option to modify the facets that are visible to your contacts in the 'Organize' page.
You can see the entire list of your contacts, favorites, fans and invitees by clicking on the 'People' section. You have the possibility to edit the status of these people (tag as favorite, get updates, remove from contacts, etc.). You can also send a reminder to invitees who have not yet answered to your request to join Hibe.
A favorite is a member that you particularly appreciate for his/her ideas or contributions but who is not necessarily a contact. By tagging this member as a favorite, you automatically become this person's fan.
A fan is someone who has tagged you as a favorite. That relationship can also be bidirectional.
Select 'Tag as Favorite' in the 'Actions' menu on the profile page of the person or in your 'People' section.
As a member, you have the possibility to view all members who have a public profile by clicking on 'Browse' in the header. If you are logged in, you will also be able to see the people who have added you in one of their facets even if their profile is set to private. To search for a specific member, you can enter the name of that person in the search box and click on 'Search'.
You can receive updates from booklets created by people you relate to. Visit the profile of a member and click on 'Get updates' to follow his/her booklets. If you have both added each other as a contact, you will get updates from this person's actual and future booklets.
You can access your personal information by clicking on 'Settings' on your homepage. You can edit the information displayed in your master zone and the changes will also be visible in your facets. You can edit the email address you have previously entered or add email addresses by clicking on 'Add Email'. Clicking on 'Hide' will hide all the selected information in your Master Zone and your facets as well.
To change your facet's profile photo, click on 'Edit' next to the facet of your choice. You can upload a photo from your computer by clicking on 'Browse', and then on 'Upload'. You also have the possibility to choose photos you have previously uploaded by clicking on 'Select existing'. We accept these formats: bmp, gif, jpg, png.
If you wish to add another address, visit your 'Settings' and then click on 'Add Email'. Click on the 'Verify' link and the system will send you an email to verify the authenticity of this address. Adding an email in your facet will directly add it in your Master Zone as well. To be able to replace the email address you log in with, click on the 'Set Primary' link next to a previously existing or new address.
To change your password, click on 'Settings' on your homepage and then go in the 'Password' section. Enter the password that you are presently using and enter twice the password of your choice.
To close your account, visit your 'Settings' and click on the 'Deactivate my account' link. Enter the reason of your withdrawal and the security code. Clicking on 'Deactivate' will log you out of the site but you always have the possibility to reactivate your account.
If you have previously deactivated your account, simply enter your credentials in the 'Login' section and click on the link to reactivate it.
We need to verify each email address entered for security reasons. By clicking on 'Verify', the system will send you an email including a link you must click on to validate it. A primary address is the one you use to log in. You have the possibility to change your primary address by clicking on 'Set Primary'.
Multifacets are a great way to manage your identities. We understand that you are not the same person when you're at work, home or school, and that's why you have the option of creating as many facets as you want. You have the control to set who gets to see which facet of you.
A default facet is the primary facet that is visible to a person. When you invite people to join the site, you have to assign them a default facet. If you have granted a person access to many facets, that default facet will prevail and the member will see your personal information (name, photo, location, etc.) contained in that selected facet as well as the content of the other authorized facets. You can always modify the default facet of a contact in the Organize chart by clicking on the name of the person.
To create a new facet, click on the 'Add' link on your homepage. There is the possibility to check 'Show facet separately' to display the content of this facet independently from other facets. The facet name is a name you attribute to the social context that will only be visible to you. On the other hand, the social context is the environment the facet represents and the full name is identifying you. You can complete the optional fields and decide to either hide or show them. You can add the email and location that you have already entered in your master zone by clicking on 'Add existing' or add new ones. For the moment, you can create a maximum of only 3 facets.
Visit your homepage and click on 'Edit' next to a facet (mouse over). You have the possibility to modify all the information you have previously entered. You can delete this facet only if it is not the default facet of a person. Clicking on 'Hide' will hide the information only present in this facet, but will not affect your Master Zone.
This chart allows you to select which asset to display in each facet. Facets are alphabetically represented on the horizontal axis. Your assets (People, Booklets, Photos and Videos) correspond to the vertical axis. Clicking on the specific name of a person in an asset will enable you to change his/her default facet.
A booklet is digital symbol that represents your relation with things around you. You can create booklets just about everything in your social environment, including people, animals, products, places, interests & causes, ideologies, etc. In other words, booklets let you track your life experiences and social interactions with elements/ things around you over time. Your life experiences and interactions, with a given element of your social environment, are logged within the booklet as factual events, textual posts, and multimedia content (photos, videos, etc).
To create a booklet, click on 'Create a booklet' in the 'Booklet' section. Select the type of booklet you wish to generate. Enter the mandatory details in the fields that have been generated. You must also include the relationship you have with your booklet and how you evaluate it. You can also add more information like tags, a description and upload a photo.
